The first saunas originated in Northern Europe around 2000 BCE and were popularized in 13th century in Finland with the creation of the word “Savu” a derivative of a term meaning “in smoke”. Today the tradition of saunas can be seen in most of the regions of the world for their many benefits.<\/p>\n

There are two main distinctions in modern saunas, traditional or Finnish saunas and infrared saunas. A traditional sauna will have temperatures ranging 167\u00b0-194\u00b0 F, where infrared saunas range in temperatures from 95\u00b0-113\u00b0F.
